What If Your Pain Didn't Need To Be Fixed?
We spend a lot of our lives trying to make pain go away.
We avoid it. Push through it. Try to understand it. Control it.
Or wonder why something can still hurt so much, even years later.
The Compassion Method offers another way.
Instead of asking, "What's wrong with me?"
You learn to get curious about what's happening inside you.
Why did that hurt? Why did I react that way? Why does this affect me so deeply? What do I need right now?
And what would it look like to bring comfort to the part of me that's hurting?
Your pain doesn't have to be fixed before you can live your life. You can learn how to be with it.
So, What Do We Mean By Compassion?
Compassion isn't feeling sorry for yourself. It isn't excusing behavior.
And it isn't pretending everything is okay when it isn't.
Compassion is noticing when something hurts, getting curious about what's underneath
the pain, and responding to what you discover with care and comfort.
It's being able to say: Something hurts. There's a reason it hurts. I can listen to what
it's telling me. And I can care for myself in the middle of it.
That's why we say:
Feel Your Pain. Get Comfort. Go Play.
You don't ignore the pain. And you don't have to stay stuck in it.
You learn how to care for yourself through it so you can start living fully alive.
And that's what we practice inside The Compassion School.
This Is The Compassion School.
The Compassion School is a 12-week experience with where you'll learn The Compassion Method™ alongside others who are learning and practicing it too.
But this isn't simply a course you watch.
It's a place to experience what you're learning, practice it for yourself, and discover how to share it with others.
You'll learn to understand what's underneath your own pain and how to respond to it with compassion.
You'll watch Laura demonstrate The Compassion Method, practice what you're learning with others, and have opportunities to ask questions and receive feedback along the way.
And you'll have a safe place to explore your pain, ask the hard questions, and practice receiving compassion alongside others who are learning and growing right along with you.
Because there's a difference between understanding compassion and knowing how to live it.
And that's what these 12 weeks are all about.
Learn To Be With Yourself.
Change How You Show Up for Others.
Receive Compassion.
Before you learn how to give compassion to others, you get to experience it for yourself.
You'll begin discovering what's underneath your own pain and what those hurting places actually need.
You'll learn to recognize the moments when you're hurting instead of pushing through, shutting down, or trying to make the pain disappear.
And you'll practice responding to yourself with compassion instead of criticism, discovering what it feels like to receive the care and comfort you need.
Live Compassion.
What you learn in The Compassion School isn't meant to stay in the classroom.
It's something you can begin practicing in your everyday life.
When someone's words hurt. When you feel rejected. When you're disappointed. When an old hurt comes back to the surface.
Instead of judging yourself for how you feel or react, you can learn to get curious about what's happening inside you and bring comfort to the places that hurt.
Give It Away.
As you learn to become aware of and care for your own pain, you can begin to experience other people's pain differently, too.
You don't have to take responsibility for how everyone else feels, find the right words, or make their pain go away.
Instead of feeling overwhelmed or helpless when someone you love is hurting, you can learn to be present with them.
You can love people deeply without feeling responsible for fixing them.
What If 12 Weeks Could Change How You Experience The Rest of Your Life?
Imagine knowing how to care for yourself when life hurts, instead of feeling overwhelmed by your emotions or unsure of what to do with them.
Imagine being able to show up for the people you love without feeling responsible for fixing their pain.
And imagine compassion becoming more than something you understand. Something you know how to live, even in the moments when life gets hard.
And that's what can happen—and what you'll have the opportunity to experience—inside The Compassion School.
If you'd like to learn more about The Compassion School, I'd love to share more with you.
I'll walk you through what these 12 weeks look like, what we'll learn and practice together, what's included, and the investment.
I'll also share who The Compassion School is for, so you'll have everything you need to decide whether it's the right next step for you.
With Compassion,
Laura
